Hello, I am very interested in the decoding hobby.
I had no idea of the detail you could get from a trunk channel until I found your site, and did more searches and found the software to do such.
I have a BCT15X, and BCT996XT.
I tried to tap my BCT15X, however my solderer got too hot, and the pad lifted right off the board.. Bummer........
So Now I am waiting to get a lower wattage soldering iron before tapping my BCT996XT.
I currently scan a Motorola II Simulcast system, 800mhz, analog.
How ever they are installing a brand new EDACS P25 Digital system as we speak.
I'm new to this part of the "scanning" hobby, and I am very impressed. Any guidance is much appreciated.
