PDW Audio File Options + Blocking Matched Text?
« on: 05 Nov 2013, 12:13:28 »
Hi,

PDW Audio File Options;
I was wondering if PDW features options to play a WAV Sound File everytime a Filtered Message is received?, If so, What does the WAV File need to be named? EG; Filtered.wav, And also how do you name WAV Files for Filters that have more then 1 Text string, Example I have a Filter that has text matches "GOLD1&CBENDS", How would I need to name the WAV Files for it to play when that is received?, I already had a WAV for "123456-GOLD1" on a duplicate of that filter, Would it just need to be "123456-GOLD1&CBENDS"?, I need them to be different files for each of the filters.

Blocking Matched Text;
Is there a way to reject a message if it matches a string of text?, Every time I receive a new pager message a string of garbled text is shown in the monitor window, Its always the same text but a different address each time, Ive added over 5000 filters blocking the text but they keep popping up, I've tried the block duplicate message feature in the options, But that also blocks filtered messages, Could there be an option added to block certain text?

Thanks,
Brendan.

Hi Brendan,
Can't help with the blocked matched text question, although I would find that feature useful as well.

Regarding the audio files, I think they are hardcoded to be sound-1, sound-2 etc. If you want a different sound to the ones supplied with PDW, just overwrite the relevant Sound-x file with your wav file, and select it from the filters setup page.

Cheers
