filters and settings intermittent not working

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone has experienced this and knows how to fix it...
intermittently the filters will not filter a message, even though the criteria is met, also, settings for repeated messages to be blocked, more often than not, i get 5-6 of the same message, usually when more than one address is concerned.
ive also noticed that randomly, and it seems since I added email sending, PDW crashes...

running Windows 10 on a laptop duo core 2.3Ghz, 8GB Ram
 using line in from a scanner, getting 96-99% decode.

Hi Phil,
I haven't seen any of these problems, but I'm running on XP, so it may be related to W10. It could also be down to using inline from the scanner - there may be some subtle corruptions to the message that are not displayed but still cause the filter to not be met. Best to use discriminator tap with appropriate USB interface of course.

Thanks for the reply, I've since moved it to another computer running vista, still getting some settings that aren't working, the duplicate message still sends 4-7 repeated pages to different addresses, based on a filter selection the text is always the same, also, I've got unchecked "show numeric pages" and yet I get constant "xxxxx" or "xxx-xxx-xxxx" messages coming through.. I've deleted and reinstalled pdw numerous times, no changes

Hi Phil,
Please can you send your pdw.ini and filters.ini files? Not making any promises but I'll take a look. Most likely next step is to use discriminator tap with appropriate USB interface of course.

I will get them for you shortly, on my mobile device currently...thanks for looking into this for me! discriminator tap and reciever is not an option for me... I'll just live with it the way it is if there is no fix...

If you want to decode and monitor pagingsystems seriously, a discriminator tap is an absolute prerequisite.

My set up is via uniden bcd396xt supplying signal to input jack of PC, go into to pdw.. I am not going to buy anything else, and it works other than a few setting glitches .. Files will follow when I am back at that PC
