Hi,

I'm trying to code in about 1500 filters by hand, each set has the same CapCode with 22 different match text strings, and I found it alot easier to do it by opening the Filters.ini file with Notepad and then adding them that way opposed to having the click about 15 buttons and then typing 30 words on the PDW Add Filter screen each time, What I did was added 1 filter with the first part of the match text that will be in all the rest of the set in PDW, and then copied and pasted it 21 more times underneath it, Then entered all the information that I wanted to add, I used the correct format that the one I entered in PDW had. But when I try and load PDW it instantly says PDW has stopped working, and will not open.

I did change the "FilterCount=" to how many filters there now by counting from line 1 to the end line then subtaracting the 4 lines that are always at the top of the file, but still does not work, I did save the updated Filters.ini file as Filters.ini and still nothing.

Any idea how I can fix this, Or if it is even possible to edit the Filters.ini file with another program to save alot of manual work inside of PDW?

Cheers,
Brendan.

Hi Brendan,
My guess would be that PDW can't handle that many filters, and is crashing.
Have you tried starting with less filters and building up? A big hint might be if it crashes on 256, 512 or 1024 filters!

Cheers

That could be a possibility, I think I may of solved it, It looks like I had a couple of filters messed up and that was causing the crashing, and I only had 773 filters, My main PDW Filter List has over 10000 filters and runs fine non-stop for the last 6months, So there must not be a limit to how many filters you can have, So note to self make sure you proof read each edit before saving and loading it lol
