With all the scanners out there is there a favorite or better model to get D-TAPPED and use with PDW?

I had particularly good results for POCSAG, FLEX, Mobitex and AIS with the (U)BC60XLT-1 and (U)BC60XLT-2. Also my current (U)BC9000XLT combines a broad frequency range with excellent decoding results.

Just checking, is there any point buying a USB (Or other type) of FSK if I don't have a discriminator tap on my UBC92xlt?
I don't know how to solder......

From the FAQ -

Can I connect the interface to my scanner's earphone output?

For error free monitoring of paging signals, you need a discriminator output in combination with an interface. Using an interface in combination with an earphone output is a waste of the investment. In that case, you're probably better off using the earphone output in combination with your PC's soundcard.
