I've just had to upgrade PC and am now on Win8.1. For XP I successfully used a Hamcom interface (from JVComm all those years ago) and it worked fine. I have installed a PCIe Serial card in the new PC but can't seem to get any signal showing on PDW. I have used the serial card with other programs (not decoding but comms work fine).

Does anyone know if I need an upgraded interface or should the Hamcom interface still work with Win8.1?

Whatever the operating system, a Hamcom interface will only work on a native serial port. Not on a PCI card, not on a PCMCIA card, not through a serial to USB interface.

Please check http://www.discriminator.nl/paging/index-en.html, Option 2 for a solution.

Thanks for reply Rene, I've had a read of the link and whilst I can't yet get my head around the actual workings of the new interface, I can understand the principle. Looks like I need to order a new interface a soon as the Xmas postal madness has subsided. It'll give me time to read more about the workings.

Regards Phil...
