Windows 7 with SDR receiver ..doesnt work for me!

Hi .. I am very new to the PDW decoder but a friend has helped me get so far...
I run the SDR sharp dongle which works fine as a receiver. Ihave installed PDW 3.1 (run the exe file)  but when I get to the set up the Interface button allows me to select the soundcard ...earphone 1 etc BUT when I drop down to the Volume set up ...no options appear.  I can see the S meter just moving off the stop ..as if responding to background noise?  but when a stong signal is received   the meter doesn't budge?

So no decoding?

Any ideas

Well my post has been read 10 times..so it looks like there are 10 other folk out there with Win & and a non functional system!

Guess that I need to get a new hobby!!

Seriously ..I would like to get this to work ..someone must be using Win 7 surely??

Perhaps those 10 readers couldn't help you? Please be more patient and don't expect an answer within 24 hours. Most people have a life and don't monitor this forum 24/7

OK Rene!  My other hobby is flying model aircraft and the forums there are very active indeed ..usually I get a an answer in just a few hours!  I will be patient ..its just very disappointing being so close!

In that case, you may wish to start with a traditional receiver and discriminator output. Amateur equipment with a 9600 bit/s packet output is fine as well.

Did you go into options and select what you want to listen to? I am using win7 64 bit and mine works. if you want to email me we could chat on the phone and i might be able to help. I am only using pdw for POCSAG, what are you trying to listen to?  ptim15 at H O T M A I L
