FSK to USB Interface - new version available

As of today, a new version of the USB interface is available. Due to the issue with cloned FTDI chips on the USB modules, a new circuit board has been developed. It incorporates an FTDI FT230XS chip and has a slightly smaller size.

im interested in purchasing one of these, Been running PDW since concept.
Brought the serial interface a few years ago, but because I was lazy, I didnt out it in a case to protect it, and it broke.
I might have this wrong but this particular interface goes been the discrimator tap and the line input of the computer ??

is the result better than the serial interface..
at present still running XP for PDW and Selcall..
I have raw data feeding into PDW from discrimator point without the resistor and works abt 98% (Does have moments with antenna)

No, the output is USB. The driver on your PC creates a virtual serial port.

Hi Rene,

i am now using a discriminator exit from my scanner to the sound card of my pc.
getting results between 90 and 100%, rates drop especially when things get busy on P2000.
is my assumption correct that this FSK to USB interface will help me in getting the last 10% decoding correct?

Your decoding success depends on the weakest link. Using a FSK to USB interface improves the total chain. No warranties though.
