PDW Off-air decoder Alpha II
« on: 29 Mar 2014, 08:03:49 »
Hi all,
        i would like some help setting up PDW to use with the above off air decoder. The info i can give you at this stage is.

Decoder = Alpha II (with Com cable running out)

PDW 3.1 with interface set to COM 1 and level 2  with slicer selected (as per windows and install of slicer)

PC = windows 7 32bit

so i have set this all up and sent a page to an address i know is programed into the above decoder but nothing came up.

The needle in the top doesn't move either (normal with and off air decoder?)

any ideas ?

Cheers Shaggy

P.s i can post pic of decoder if needed.

Have you got it sorted out now as I'm in the process of modding an alpha 2 decoder my self.

Intrigued as to what an Alpha II is?

Do you mean you are constructing a decoder using the RFSolutions chipsets (http://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/acatalog/DS803ALPHA-1.pdf)? This would presumably replace the need for a scanner with discriminator tap?

Sounds like an interesting project if that is the case:-)

Cheers
