Issues with PDW POCSAG
« on: 26 Jan 2015, 16:30:21 »
Hello everyone,

I will not pretend that I understand much with this software. My boss uses it to verify that pages are received from our paging system. Sometimes the pages show up with the message information intact and readable. Sometimes it shows up with nothing or random numbers. Is there a way to make it and/or fix it so that it always shows the message? Again, I am not at all familiar with this software so take it slow on me. Thanks!

Does your boss use a receiver with a discriminator tap? This is essential for reliable decoding.

I have no idea... When he gets back to the office I will ask him. I would venture to say no right now, but I will verify it and get back to you.

Hi Maross,
You might need to tweak your sound settings if you go through a sound card.

If you can post more information about your configuration (scanner type, interface to PC, OS, version of PDW, etc) you may get more help.

Best way is to use one of the interfaces available from Rene.

Cheers
