Question about filters in pdw
« on: 15 Jan 2017, 00:32:49 »
I have 26 different words or phrases I want to filter on  about 100 cap codes,  do I have to add each single word as a seprate entry?  I tried to add each phrase and seprate it with the & symbol as per instructions and manually did it to the filters.ini file and it did t seem to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe.

Hi Adobe,
Haven't used the & operator in the filter myself, but it may be that it looks for all the words in different positions within each text string, rather than looking for any one of them.

You might have to have a filter entry for each word and phrase. 26 filters isn't too bad:-)

Note that I have had some difficulties on occasions with editing the filters.ini direct (I was using Notepad) rather than using the PDW UI. Most times it seems OK but occasionally doesn't do what I expected. If I do any edits with Notepad I always visually check each entry in PDW to make sure they are all as expected.

Cheers
