Merge two html outputs into one page
« on: 09 Feb 2017, 20:31:30 »
I have two PDW systems setup, both produce a html site that i personally use to view the messages, easier to read.
They are about 100km apart so pick up different messages from different districts.

Has anyone attempted ot merge their pdw output from two systems into one so i can see all messages on one page ?
This would be very handy if at all possible?

Write the outputs of the distributed systems to a single (MySQL) database and build a website on top of that.

Sorry.
I noticed that my spelling was very bad. I am blind on one eye and sometimes when i am tired the letters dont always come out right :)
I know you can merge the logfiles. So if you have two PDW you can point them to same file. If it is on two locations you can do it in "the cloud". But not sure you can do same thing with the webfiles. I use the mysql solution but i spend a lot of time programming in Python to get the text to the database.
If you know how to make webpages you can also make two iframes on one page.

Stefan, you cant merge the output files from PDW, it just doesn't work.

I have successfully got PDW writing to a MySQL data base and have written a basic php page to pull the data to a website which gives me plain black and white text, i understand basic websites but nothing too in depth !

Preferably it would be nice to get it looking like the old PDW html output as this was very easy to read.
Any tips for me to get it looking a bit better ?

Cheers
