Capcode Number of digits
« on: 01 Apr 2017, 20:08:31 »
We have a system that appears to have more than 7 digits. POCSAG
Different pagers are being set off despite the identical code being logged by PDW.
I thought I saw something a while back that there was a version that at one point showed 9 digits.
Does any if this sound possible or am I confusing myself?

Different function codes? This will add 2 bits. This way you can address 4 pagers with a single RIC.

Yes, it's the function number displayed in PDW under  'MODE'. POCSAG-1 .. POCSAG-4.

Still only shows 7 digits and type reads POCSAG-1
Any ideas?
