usb interface
« on: 12 Feb 2018, 02:51:49 »
Hi Guys,
The USB Interface, does this work with USB2.0 or is it USB3.0 only, all Im getting via Win7 running PDW3.12 or PDW 3.20 beta is the Needle shaking, no decoding whatsoever.
Im using the official FTD drivers from a link on the Discriminator site (CDM12.12.28).

On my Xp machine, I can only use Soundcard, the computer doesnt automatically find the Interface drivers, and it comes up as a driver with the yellow triangle

It's USB2.0. If the needle is shaking, the PC is receiving data from the interface.

Do you use a discriminator output? What system are you monitoring? Are the DIP switches set accordingly?

Did you install the drivers manually before connecting the interface?

My current setup is a UBC9000xlt with Discriminator tap, monitoring the paging system for the New Zealand Fire Service (Flex) on 157.9500. using eith Win Xp or Win 7 (Depending on what computer I want to use)
the drivers were loaded prior to using the interface, as I cannot find a dip switch setting map, i am guessing with each setup, currently (looking at the switches) (1) down (2) up. using mono earphone cable to banana socket via discriminator tap (non resistor)

A link to the manual was provided in the shipping confirmation mail. It can also be found through http://www.discriminator.nl/usb/index-en.html. It's here.

Your current interface settings are for POCSAG 1200/2400. The dips switches should be (1) up, (2) down for FLEX 1600.

All drivers have correctly installed, however apart from the previous Message, PDW (All Versions above 3.0) crash completely, so Im giving up.. Ive triple checked the wiring of the leads.. USB port = 2.0. the dip switches are set correctly, PDW is set up correctly..theres nothing else I can think of  >:(  :'(
