4-Level Data Slicer Repair question
« on: 26 Jan 2019, 14:36:28 »
I have two 4-Level Data Slicers that I think are not working, At least I cannot get them to work anymore. What would it cost to send them in to get repaired or would I be better of just waiting for the next supply of Slicers that will be coming out in February? I would really like to get them repaired just to have as backups. Thanks for a great product. Is it possible that I may have damaged one of them by picking it up while it was running since it did not have a plastic case around it. If I order new ones, can they have plastic cases with them?

All interfaces can be repaired at a reasonable price. It's always (much) cheaper than a new interface. I will send you an email with my address.

Unfortunately, I don't have matching plastic enclosures for my interfaces. You may wish to consider to put the interface in a cheap plastic soap box and drill the necessary holes.

I don't think it's your fault. One interface had a defective voltage inverter IC. The other interface had a 10 uF capacitor in the inverter circuit that has developed a  high ESR. These things can happen over time.
