PRO-2035 / PRO-2042

|
The Realistic PRO-2035 and PRO-2042 are almost identical. The scanner can be opened
by removing 4 screws on the back.
Slide the complete case half a centimeter back, and remove the top lid. If you disconnect the loudspeaker
PCB-connector, the scanner is easier to handle. |

There are 2 options for a discriminator output:
directly to pin 9 of the discriminator IC, a TK10420. Or to TP2 (test
point 2), which is connected to this IC directly. If you choose for the last
option, you don't have to solder to the IC.

A 10 k resistor connects TP2 to the outside world
|
A 10 k resistor is soldered to TP2. The resistor's other lead is connected to a 3.5 mm chassis plug, which can be mounted in the
back of the scanner. The resistor's leads have been isolated with isolation material from a piece of wire.
Since the back panel of the scanner is connected to the scanners's ground, no separate ground lead is necessary from
the 3.5 mm connector.
