The connection to LND7

LND7 contains the unfiltered audio. A 10 k resistor is soldered to LND7. The resistor's other lead is connected to a piece of wire, which runs to the chassis socket.

overview

A 3.5 mm mono socket is mounted in the back of the scanner. There is sufficient space between the stacked printed circuit boards and the case.

The socket's ground lead is connected to the scanner's ground, e.g. the antenna plug, by a short piece of wire.
